ACGME and regulatory responsibility
HumanShift is a scheduling and decision-support tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Although HumanShift is designed to help users apply selected ACGME requirements and program rules, it does not warrant or guarantee that any rule, recommendation, schedule, alert, calculation, or output is complete, current, error-free, or compliant.
The sponsoring institution, Designated Institutional Official, Graduate Medical Education Committee, Program Director, and other authorized program leaders retain sole responsibility for reviewing and approving schedules; monitoring duty hours, supervision, fatigue, education, leave, and coverage; interpreting applicable requirements; and ensuring compliance with current ACGME, Review Committee, institutional, contractual, accreditation, employment, and legal obligations.
HumanShift AI
AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for a particular program or circumstance. They are recommendations only and must not be relied upon as legal, regulatory, accreditation, medical, employment, credentialing, or professional advice. No AI output may replace independent review and approval by authorized human leadership before a schedule, rule, request, swap, report, or operational change is adopted or published.
Users must verify all material outputs against the current official requirements and their institution’s policies. Use of HumanShift does not transfer or reduce any user’s or institution’s professional, supervisory, fiduciary, accreditation, or legal responsibilities.
Humanity Score limitation
The Humanity Score is a proprietary, non-validated schedule-preference alignment indicator. It estimates how a schedule reflects the preferences and scheduling signals entered into HumanShift after required coverage and configured safeguards are considered. It is not an objective or clinically validated outcome measure and does not measure wellness, well-being, burnout, fatigue, mental health, morale, performance, competence, professionalism, fitness for duty, or quality of patient care.
The Humanity Score must not be used to diagnose, rank, discipline, credential, promote, terminate, or otherwise make an adverse academic or employment decision about any person. A higher or lower score should be interpreted only as a scheduling-preference signal and never as a statement about an individual’s health or professional value.
Additional limitations
